A message from our headline sponsor
“The last 12 months have undoubtedly been challenging, yet at the same time it has been a seminal period for the eAssessment industry as a whole. The lockdown and social distancing measures that were implemented as a result of COVID-19 have driven major change in the industry, as organisations sought ways to continue to assess their test takers securely, safely and accurately.
Although computer-based testing and remote invigilation in its various forms were well established in the market, uptake over the last twelve months has grown exponentially, with online proctoring emerging as the solution of choice for companies with secure delivery needs.
The industry has had to advance in terms of technology and delivery methodology far quicker than would otherwise have been the case, and although this has created challenges, we should all celebrate the ability of our industry to adapt so well to these wholly unforeseen circumstances.
So that is why, for 2021, PSI is immensely proud, once again, to be sponsoring the eAssessment Awards and recognising all those that have worked tirelessly over the last year to make sure the eAssessment industry not only survives, but thrives."
Janet Garcia, President at PSI.
From the medical profession to the individual school, from Higher Education to the workplace, these awards present a golden opportunity to learn from each other and see where advances in e-assessment are really making a difference; what barriers had to be overcome; what new research and innovation can bring.
In 2020 we had 24 independent and expert judges, with a wide range of experiences. We felt it was worth explaining further the robust judging process that takes place each year. Each award category has a separate, independent panel of four judges who meet and review the entries in their category only, and select an agreed list of finalists. They do not have sight of any of the other award entries/entrants, so they are only able to view the entries to their category. Each panel then interviews each of those finalists (online) to come to a unanimous decision over that category winner. Judges are not able to sit on a category panel for more than one year and we take great care to ensure no judge has a conflict of interest.
If you would like to know any more about the judging process, or even like to know about becoming a judge, please do get in touch!
Welcome to the independently judged and truly international......e-Assessment Awards!
