We are delighted to announce the shortlisted finalists for the fifth international e-Assessment Awards.

Finalists 2021 e-Assessment Awards

The e-Assessment Awards programme holds a unique and truly global position, as it encompasses all sectors of education from schools, through further and higher education to workplace training and professional exams.

Matt Wingfield, Chief Executive of the e-Assessment Association said, “This year e-Assessment has been in the spotlight for the role it has played in enabling assessment to continue during a global pandemic. These Awards are an important way to celebrate those who are making a positive contribution and driving change in the industry.”

Professor Bob Harrison, Chair of the Judges said, “As the Chair of the 28 members of the judging panel I have had the unique opportunity to review every entry and it has been an enormous privilege and a tremendous source of inspiration to see how collaboration between educators, assessment bodies, technologists and commercial interests have worked together. There is no doubt that COVID-19 has been a catalyst for innovation. Once again, these awards demonstrate the capacity and capability within the world of e-assessment to use technology to improve the assessment process and make it more accessible, reliable, valid, relevant and cost effective.”

Commenting on the awards, Janet Garcia, President at PSI, the Awards’ headline sponsor, said, “While the last 12 months have been challenging, at the same time it has been a seminal period for the e-Assessment industry as a whole. Measures implemented as a result of COVID-19 have driven major change in the industry, as organisations sought ways to continue to assess their test takers securely, safely and accurately. The industry has had to advance in terms of technology and delivery methodology far quicker than would otherwise have been the case, and although this has created challenges, we should all celebrate the ability of our industry to adapt so well to these wholly unforeseen circumstances.”

The winners will be announced at the 2021 International e-Assessment Conference and Awards taking place online in June 2021. The Lifetime Contribution Award, sponsored by Prometric, will also be presented at the conference in June.

Reflecting the truly international nature of the e-Assessment Association and the Awards programme, this year’s conference will include keynote presentations, panel discussions, Q&A sessions, 2021 Awards presentations and networking opportunities. The event will be held in online and is free to attend.
